PATTERNS WITH AN EDGE

As a former chemist, avid ballroom dancer and lifetime visual artist I bring elements of these disciplines to my imagery. My technical mind contributes hard edge precision while my dancer's contribution is the physical gesture with which I work. My visual sense loves organic, sensual texture and pattern. My work combines these elements and is influenced by both abstract expressionism and the OP art movement.

I received my basic art training in New York City, at the High School of Musicand Art and Cooper Union Art School. In addition I have a chemistry degree from the University of Michigan and I have worked as a research mass spectrometrist until 1992 when I became a full time exhibiting painter and printmaker.
